ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The Orthopaedic Implant Company (“OIC”) launched its Semi-Extended Instrumentation for the OIC Tibial Nail from Gaylord Palms Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, at the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA).

Used in conjunction with the OIC Tibial Nail, the OIC Semi-Extended Instrumentation affords surgeons an alternate method for intramedullary nailing of the tibia. By allowing for less flexion of the knee during implantation, this approach may help avoid fracture malreductions and misalignment and improve imaging.
